Where’s Annie?
Mike needed a puppy a few years ago.
But cute as she is, she’s often brought woe.
An orange and white bundle with soft little eyes,
The trouble she’d find… that was quite a surprise,
As rampaging through the house she did go.
Should have been ready, we’re trainers, you know.
Where’s Annie? Where’s Annie? What’s that pup doing?
Good grief, better check…what’s Annie been chewing?
She never chews his things, only the wife’s,
And thus, often the cause of some family strife.
Often was heard this complaining refrain,
She’s your dog not mine! You know how to train.
But, she’s funny and silly and often quite charming,
And burglars will think that her bark’s quite alarming.
Where’s Annie? Where’s Annie? What’s that pup doing?
Good grief, better check…what’s Annie been chewing?
Whether ringing her bell or digging the yard,
So good and soooo busy, she always played hard.
Finally, he took her and showed her those quail.
Her true calling found, she’s wondrous, won’t fail.
A brag dog for sure, with the children she’s great.
Even though this refrain’s heard early and late.
Where’s Annie? Where’s Annie? What’s that pup doing?
Good grief, better check…what’s Annie been chewing?
