The Puppy Tracking Primer
(Sorry Sold Out!)
Tracking
can strengthen your relationship with your dog more than any other
activity, build confidence in a timid dog, steady a rowdy one, or give a
break from conformation or obedience. You can start a pup tracking
at 7 or 8 weeks of age and have great success. At 7 weeks a
puppy's mental equipment is completely switched on but not cluttered
with learned behavior; it is the best time ever to start him tracking!
The method in this little book is the easiest way to train the best
tracking dog you'll ever have. This lesson plan presents the pup
with a series of easy puzzles to solve each day. This really
develops the pup's intelligence and confidence. These pups become
excellent problem solvers; they "learn to learn"
This book presents a specialized method for a very specific type of
training and uses food as a motivation. The accelerated lesson
plan is intended for use with pups younger than four months old, but it
can also work with older pups and adult dogs, too. The goal of the
lesson plan is to prepare a dog to pass the American Kennel Club
Tracking Dog (TD) test and lay the ground work for the Tracking Dog
Excellent (TDX) test.
